The old post office at Midfield is now another estate agents. Harry's barbers, PC Aid, Mayplace Carpets, Kebab, Jhas Tandoori and Beanos cafe. The hardware shop is still at Midfield along with a chinese, home improvements and mortgage advisor. The chemist, dry cleaners, newsagents and the old TV shop are here. The off licence has since gone. The Red Barn pub - the only pub in Barnehurst, by the train station. Along this side use to be a bakers and butchers. The hill in the distance defines the old name of the 'Hills and Holes' road. The top of Erith Road. Cape Supermarket is a recent addition. Past Times Furniture is also quite new. The Halifax has become Reeds Rains.
